COLLE PETRITO

Cantina Colle Petrito is located due west of Bari (about an hour) on the Murgian Plateau, a beautiful territory with unique characteristics which gives its wine a strong identity. The company is located near Minervino Murge, an ancient village (pictured above in the background) as well as the Alta Murgia National Park. Their vineyards extend throughout the area of the Barletta-Andria-Trani Province. The landscape is breathtaking. It enjoys a continental climate with cold winters and hot summers.

Colle Petrito is a young and dynamic company, founded in 2005 as a project of three friends — Antonio Bellini, Giuseppe Giuliano and Michele Preziusi — who have together brought a range of skills and experiences to the team. Currently, the founders manage the winery with the help of their children, who continue their fathers’ vision of expressing their love of and respect for the land while expanding sales to let the rest of the world know about the wonderful wines produced in this area. Their specialty is Nero di Troia, the third great indigenous grape variety from the Puglia region.
